2026 Guided Truffle Hunting Season Now Open!

January through March, we are offering guided truffle hunts led by our three trained Lagotti. Every guided experience will include:

  • Truffle-infused tastings
  • Truffle infusing demonstrations
  • Truffle cleaning demonstrations
  • Scent introduction for your dog(s)

Join us in the forest to hunt for some of Oregon’s most elusive delicacies: Oregon’s white winter truffle. BYOD (bring your own dog) or just yourself and learn firsthand how to identify truffles in the wild. This is a great hands-on experience for anyone who wants to participate in digging up their own Oregon white winter truffles that our trained Lagotti identify on site.

Guided truffle tours will be available during the mid-week and weekends from McMinnville, OR until March 2026.

Truffle Hunting / Cheese Making Experience

We are very excited to offer a unique truffle hunting, cow milking, cheese tasting and cheese making experience that you do not want to miss!

Start the morning at Cast Iron Farm in McMinnville, Oregon with some coffee/tea/continental treats and a hands-on cow milking demonstration, followed by a lovely hike in the woods with our amazing Italian trained Lagotti. This is also a hands-on experience for anyone who wants to participate in digging up their own Oregon White Winter truffles that our Lagotti have identified on site.

After we have a good amount of truffles to share with everyone, we will return to Cast Iron Farm for a truffle cleaning demonstration, infusion demonstration and a truffle-infused tasting one will not want to miss. Then, Christine, from Cast Iron Farm will hold a group cheese making course.

Beverages and a heavy charcuterie board will be provided. Everyone will go home with truffles, fresh cheese, and a truffle-infused product!

  • $125 per person (for those that have purchased a puppy)
